Saxophonist and composer Ardeshir Pourkeramati has quickly become a great gift to the Canadian jazz scene. Having learned from such greats as Stan Karp and Bob Mintzer, his compositions are rooted firmly in the jazz tradition and his sound is large and expressive. The work he has put in to developing his voice is immediately evident from the first note.
